Synopsis

"Mu Beichen and Yun Qianqian were promised to each other in a childhood engagement arranged by their parents. But when Yun Qianqian's mother divorced and took her away, they grew up apart—Yun Qianqian enduring a hard life, never once meeting her fiancé. Years later, Mu Beichen is poisoned and desperately needs a woman to relieve the effects. His supposed savior, Lan Yuxi, refuses to expose that she's no longer a virgin, so she finds Yun Qianqian—who urgently needs money for her mother's and brother's medical treatments—and convinces her to take her place for one night. Neither Mu Beichen nor Yun Qianqian knows what the other looks like. Mu Beichen mistakenly believes it was Lan Yuxi who saved him and feels obligated to take responsibility. During the mandatory 30-day cooling-off period, Yun Qianqian moves in with Mu Beichen. He soon discovers she's pregnant and assumes she has a messy private life. Only later does the truth come out: Yun Qianqian is the woman from that night—the one he's always felt responsible for. Mu Beichen changes his mind and refuses to divorce. In the end, the family of three lives happily ever after."
