Vivian is the sole heiress of L'ÉCLAT, the legendary jewelry house — and the eyes the appraisal world has been hunting for five years. Five years ago her mother's house was burned to the ground and her mother killed. Tracing the arson back to the Henry family, she buried her name and married into it, spending five years as the “country girl” the household ordered around and laughed at. Then came the day she was cast out: divorce papers thrown in her face, nothing to her name, Chloe wearing her mother's heirloom ring beside her husband. She didn't shout. She asked for a pen, signed her name stroke by stroke, and made one request: give me back the ring.
