Synopsis

Lia Bennett, a terminally ill leukemia patient, wakes up in agony and overhears her husband Kane Wilson transferring her matched bone marrow to another patient, Evelyn Carter, and signing a waiver on her behalf. Under the guise of "greater good," Kane cuts off her imported medication, reassigns her primary physician, and moves her from a VIP ward to a cramped six-bed room— all to pool every resource into saving Evelyn, the woman he favors. Broken beyond repair, Lia signs a Do Not Resuscitate order and transfers to a hospice to await death. At her darkest hour, Flynn Hamilton-a young man she once saved eight years ago-reappears and pulls her back from the brink with an unapproved experimental drug. After recovering, with Flynn's help, Lia exposes Evelyn's lie of faking illness to steal the marrow, files for divorce, and brings down Kane's medical license and Evelyn's freedom. In the end, Lia lets go of the past and sets off with Flynn to Iceland to chase the Northern Lights-her life finally beginning anew.
