Synopsis

Helen Morrison, a night shift parking lot attendant in downtown Chicago, notices a mysterious woman leaving a quarter in the same tire track every 3 a.m. She uncovers that Elaine, the woman, is hiding from her abusive ex-husband, using the coin to check if he has found her. The two form an unlikely bond and create a parking lot safety mutual aid society, helping hundreds of women facing stalking and harassment. As their movement grows nationwide, Helen confronts her own decade-long wait for her missing father, while Elaine finally breaks free from her trauma.
