The Cry in the Cold

Synopsis

Lin Yang was busy flirting with his mistress on the phone when he accidentally locked his young daughter Xingyao inside a refrigerated truck and turned on the freezing air. A passerby named Lu Zheng heard the child's desperate cries and pried open the door to save her—only to be tackled by Lin Yang, who mistook him for a thief. The mother initially defended her husband, then grew suspicious. After a frantic search, Lu Zheng found Xingyao unconscious from hypothermia and rushed her to the hospital. But Lin Yang blocked the ambulance, demanding compensation instead of helping his own daughter. Even at the hospital, with his daughter needing an urgent blood transfusion, Lin Yang made excuses—until the horrifying truth came out. He nearly killed his own child. Broken and remorseful, Lin Yang collapsed. In the end, it was the stranger he had attacked who saved Xingyao's life with a rare blood type. A crisis born of selfishness and neglect ends in a father's bitter regret—and one stranger's selfless grace.
