Synopsis
Ava married Richard to secure legal residency, but the price was a cold, controlling marriage. During a road trip across the desert, the SUV was packed with camping gear and stacks of toilet paper, leaving Ava squeezed into the seat directly in front of Lucas, Richard's grown son. Every jolt of the ride pulled her back to the previous night: Richard had been perfunctory in bed before falling asleep, while Ava lay awake, restless and frustrated. She wandered into the bathroom, only to catch Lucas holding her underwear in a highly suspicious situation. Worse still, Lucas had discovered her immigration documents and now knew the real reason behind her marriage.
