The Foster Lie
Synopsis
For four years, 7-year-old Lila has survived neglect and cruelty in a run-down Oregon trailer park. The couple who call themselves her parents keep her locked away, using her for welfare checks. When a sharp-eyed school social worker notices the signs of abuse, Lila pieces together the truth: she was kidnapped. With the help of a reclusive neighbor who’s hidden her own guilt for years, she risks everything to escape and find her real family — the parents who never stopped searching. But homecoming is only the beginning. Her captors will stop at nothing to get her back, and the grave secret they hide about another missing child could destroy everything. A gripping family thriller about courage, redemption, and the unbreakable bond of blood. One little girl’s bravery will heal two families and finally set the truth free
