Synopsis
In Luoyang, the wealthy Gu couple suddenly vanish without a trace, leaving behind their four daughters. The collateral branch of the Gu family, led by Second Uncle Gu, joins forces with the rival Li family to seize the Gu family's wealth and power. They try to force the eldest daughter, Gu Ruoruo, to marry Li Cong, the Li family's second son, in an attempt to strip her of her inheritance rights. With the help of her three sisters, Ruoruo foils Second Uncle Gu's schemes time and again and eventually forms an alliance with Li Ke, the Li family's eldest son. Through a two-way marriage, the two manage to thwart the schemes of their respective family branches. As they fight side by side, their alliance gradually deepens into love, and they eventually end up together.
