Synopsis
Nessa Hall, a girl from the rationed district, signs a marriage alliance with the tycoon Graff to save her best friend's young child. At the wedding, Reid Kane, Lord of the Frostlands, publicly kills the groom and forcibly takes her to the Obsidian Spire Fortress; she tries to escape and resist his possession, but ends up developing a twisted attachment amid hostage coercion and occasional tenderness.
