Synopsis
Mason, the new godfather of the Thorne family, survives an assassination attempt and is rescued by Elena, a nurse who happens to be passing by. From then on, he develops a near-destructive possessiveness towards her. Mason goes so far as to inject $500 million into a hospital, forcibly kidnap Elena to try on wedding dresses, and even blast his horn outside Elena's apartment all night in a show of defiance. At Elena's wedding to her fiancé Liam, Mason and his henchmen break down the door, hold a gun to the groom's head, and publicly "buy out" the marriage with a large sum of money. As the power struggle within the Thorne family and old grudges surface, Elena is shocked to discover that behind Mason's ruthlessness lies a heavy truth about her brother's death in the line of duty years ago. In a vortex of blood ties and law, gangs and responsibilities, a dangerous relationship that crosses the lines between good and evil unfolds on the streets of New York.
