The Good Girl's Counterattack

Synopsis

Lucia Moretti suffered years of abuse and confinement at the hands of her stepfather, Victor, while her mother, Mary, remained too timid to intervene. Over a decade, she endured imprisonment in a basement, lashings, false accusations, and even abandonment in a desolate wilderness. Though she feigned docility on the surface, she secretly plotted her revenge. At a cocktail party, she overheard Victor expressing fear of the Mafia boss Alexander Sterling and decided to use that to her advantage. She tore off her long gown and boldly propositioned Alexander for a one-night stand; leaving cash behind after their encounter piqued his interest. Alexander tracked her down, and the two began a secret relationship. Lucia orchestrated a scene where Victor "accidentally" caught them kissing, infuriating him. She also stole shipping route maps for East Port, enabling Alexander to intercept a shipment and sever Damian’s arm. When Victor forced her into an arranged marriage with Cole Carlton, Lucia had Alexander go public with their romance the day before the engagement party, causing Victor to lose face completely. Lucia moved into Alexander’s estate and was accepted into the London School of Architecture. Although Victor sent men to stalk and intimidate her, Alexander protected her and uncovered the truth about her past abuse. During a final confrontation in an abandoned warehouse, Lucia shot and wounded Victor herself; she spared her mother—who had pleaded for mercy—but ensured Victor’s total ruin. Victor ultimately died, and Damian was left crippled. Lucia left Alexander, eventually becoming a renowned architect a year later. Alexander found her and made a heartfelt proposal. As they embraced and kissed by the sea, Lucia embraced her new life.
