The Immortal’s Descent: You Think I’m Just a Guard?
Synopsis
Gu Changsheng spends ten years in arduous cultivation and achieves the realm of the Transcendent Golden Immortal. As the sole unrivaled powerhouse in the mortal world, he descends the mountain to call off an arranged childhood engagement forced by his master and search for his childhood‑sweetheart first love. Hiding his true identity, he works as a low‑level bodyguard in a marquis manor. Playing the weak to outwit arrogant foes, he tames a haughty young noble lady, crushes provoking prodigies, heals the princess and the empress dowager, and crushes the rebellion of three great clans. Even the God Lord whom he once enlightened bows in submission to him. Merely seeming like a humble manor guard, he is in fact a Golden Immortal descended upon the mortal realm. He shatters every powerful foe with his fists and shields everyone dear to him. In the end, he settles all mortal karmic ties and ascends to the heavens in pursuit of his love.
