Synopsis

In Aurelion, a Western mythical continent where divine blood determines one’s social class, those of low birth are forever barred from entering the knightly class. KAEL, a stable boy, is publicly humiliated by CASSIAN, the son of a nobleman, and branded by everyone as “a good-for-nothing without divine blood.” On the day of the Divine Selection Trials, he is forced to take the stage wielding a rusty harpoon. Everyone mocks him for being unable to even hold a sword, but when a noble forces him to kneel, the harpoon suddenly awakens as the ancient divine artifact, the “Spear of the Tides.” The seawater around the royal capital surges upward against the current, and a divine stele proclaims: “The Son of the Tides has returned.” KAEL discovered that he was not a good-for-nothing, but a survivor of the Sea God’s bloodline—one whose existence had been erased by the Divine Court.
