Synopsis

After being found by the Vance family, Eva, the real heiress, is forced into a contract marriage with Julian, CEO of the Sterling Group, in place of her adopted daughter Vanessa. On their wedding night, Julian, prioritizing work and lacking feelings for Eva, flies to Zurich on a business trip—despite having chosen Eva himself. Two years later, Eva is discharged from the hospital after eye surgery, alone. Julian returns home, recognizes her at the hospital, and helps her with her discharge. In the car, Eva is embarrassed when her mother publicly demands she "get pregnant as soon as possible." At Vanessa's birthday party, Eva is injured in the eye by a flashing light. Julian publicly defends her, leading her away and taking her home. The two live together, with Julian gradually developing feelings for her under the guise of "marriage lessons." At a charity event, Eva deliberately provokes Patricia, resulting in her being slapped in public. Eva uses the video of the slap as leverage, demanding the Vance family pay for her adoptive mother's medical expenses. Julian flies back overnight, taking Eva to Patricia's home and demanding a public apology from her. Julian's ex-boyfriend Caleb reappears, and in a drunken stupor, Julian tears up the divorce papers, crying and begging Eva not to leave. Eva becomes pregnant, and the two confess their feelings at the hospital. Ultimately, the contract transforms into true love.
