The Mafia Heir’s Rejected Wife

Synopsis

Three days before my due date, my husband came home and told me he was going to marry Bianca Voss. “She is also close to giving birth,” Luca said. “Marrying her will secure my position as mafia don.” Heavy with his child, I stood there and asked, “So you want me to be your secret mistress for the rest of my life?” He promised me doctors, bodyguards, money, and a heavily guarded estate on the outskirts of Chicago. He said that as long as I never appeared before Bianca, I would remain his wife in private. I refused. He looked at me with pity, as though I was too ordinary to understand the world he lived in. To him, I was only Aria, the quiet woman who grew tomatoes by the lake. Little did he know, I was Aria Castellano, the only daughter of the Chair of the Mafia High Council. I met his gaze and spoke softly. “What if I told you that Bianca’s family means nothing beside mine?”
