The Mute Heiress Is Back

Synopsis

After three years in Milan, fashion tycoon Graham Kane returns home expecting a glamorous welcome party. Instead, a barefoot woman in a hospital gown runs across his red carpet, grabs his leg, and writes one word into his palm: HELP. The attendants chasing her claim she is Jane Doe, an escaped psychiatric patient who tells wealthy men they are her father. But Graham notices something they don't. A delusional woman looking for a father would write “Dad.” She wrote “Help.” Graham brings the starving, nearly mute stranger into his home despite his family's protests. Soon, disturbing details begin to surface: scars on her wrist, a childhood toy she recognizes, a tracking bracelet that once belonged to Graham's missing daughter, and records proving someone paid three hundred thousand dollars to lock this woman away under a false name. Meanwhile, the young woman currently living as Laurel Kane seems to remember less and less about her own childhood. When the family publicly brands the stranger insane, Graham steps in front of the cameras. He still doesn't know exactly who she is. But somebody paid a fortune to erase her identity. And Graham intends to find out why—before whoever buried the truth can do it again.
