Synopsis

When Claire was three months pregnant, her husband Miles came to her Wish Pawnshop, wanting to trade the dragon child in her womb and her memories of him for the restored sight of Amber, his late brother's widow. Sitting behind the curtain, Claire recognized him but completed the transaction in despair.
