Synopsis

A fraudulent marriage born of "debt" and "exploitation" —how did it evolve, amidst the lingering shadows of an old case from eight years ago, into a story about two souls trapped by family ties and hatred finding redemption and ultimately choosing each other freely under the open sky? The central narrative follows Sofia, a forensic accountant forced to marry Adrian, the leader of a mafia organization, in order to repay her father's debts. On their wedding night, she discovers that the cause of her mother's death is linked to a power struggle within her father's and husband's families. Carrying both suspicion toward her husband and an intense desire to uncover the truth, she transitions from being merely a pawn at the mercy of others to gradually unraveling the intricate web of events under Adrian's seemingly cold yet profoundly thoughtful protection. Ultimately, she exposes the conspiracy between her father and her uncle Damian, avenges her mother, and ensures that all the perpetrators face justice within the legal framework. As for Adrian, his initial motivation for marrying—to locate a financial ledger and protect a witness—evolves over time into a complete surrender of his defenses, as he learns to love someone with respect and patience.
