Synopsis

Serena Blackwood, a disgraced New York real-estate heiress, is publicly humiliated by her former fiancé, Adrian Vale, using a manipulated photograph and a carefully engineered media scandal. At the event, Noah Reed, a brilliant but struggling data analyst working as a temporary waiter, exposes the photograph as fake. Serena pays off his contract penalty and recruits him under a dangerous agreement: in public, he will pose as her new boyfriend; in private, he will become her data partner. Their contract contains one absolute rule—they must never fall in love. While investigating fraudulent luxury-property listings, Serena and Noah uncover a conspiracy connected to the Riverbend real-estate scandal, the case that destroyed Noah’s family and ruined the Blackwood name. What first appears to be a property scam is revealed to be part of a massive financial system involving false valuations, stolen deposits, offshore accounts, evidence tampering and media manipulation. As Adrian and his father, Richard Vale, use their wealth and influence to silence witnesses, destroy evidence and turn Serena and Noah against each other, the two partners are forced to decide whether they can trust more than contracts and numbers. With the help of former enemies and long-hidden witnesses, Serena and Noah expose the complete Riverbend conspiracy during a nationwide live broadcast. They bring down the Vale empire, clear their families’ names and finally tear up the No-Love Contract. Together, they establish Equal House, a transparent real-estate company built to protect ordinary buyers. Their relationship is no longer based on ownership, sacrifice or control, but on an equal promise to share every risk.
