Synopsis

Fresh graduate Ben develops hemorrhoids from eating excessive spicy food. When he goes to the hospital for treatment, he finds his attending doctor is Ethan, the son of his stepfather. The first digital rectal exam fills Ben with overwhelming embarrassment. The two keep crossing paths due to their awkward doctor-patient bond. Though Ethan appears cold and reserved on the surface, he cares about Ben in quiet ways, constantly reminding him to stay away from spicy food and even visiting his place late at night to look after him after surgery. Gradually, Ben falls for Ethan. He deliberately eats spicy dishes just to get another chance to see him, and the pair keep testing each other’s feelings amid tangled emotional tension. Struggling with inner turmoil, Ethan once pushes Ben away. Later, Ben dates a girl briefly yet cannot let go of Ethan. A follow-up clinic visit shatters the wall between them. After misunderstandings, heartfelt confessions and acceptance from their family, they open up about their true feelings, heal each other’s past wounds, settle down together in a cozy little home with a cat, and achieve mutual emotional healing.
