The Surgeon They Cast Out

Synopsis

Ten years ago, Evelyn Hale—scion of a prominent medical dynasty—was branded responsible for a patient's death following a fatal medical mishap involving alleged procedural violations. To safeguard the family hospital's reputation, her father, Richard, personally expelled her from the Hale family. A decade later, having adopted her mother’s surname, "Goodman," Evelyn has risen to become a world-class cardiac surgeon. When her father falls critically ill, the Hale family exhausts every resource searching for the mysterious, renowned surgeon best qualified to perform the high-risk operation—unaware that the very person they seek is the daughter they once cast out. Evelyn returns home to save her father, only to face renewed suspicion and betrayal from her family. As her true identity as a top-tier surgeon and founder of a medical foundation comes to light, the case from ten years ago is reopened. Ultimately, she discovers that the true culprit was her adopted brother, Julian; he had held the key evidence proving her innocence all along but had concealed it for a full decade.
