The Trans Queen of Metro City

Synopsis

Set in 1989 Metro City, Simone—a fierce Black trans woman scraping by as a nightclub dancer—lands in a brutal men’s lockup after defending herself against a client. There, she aligns with Mikhail, a hardened Eastern European smuggler, and carves out a fortune in the city's underbelly. But her climb is cut short when she is betrayed on an elite yacht party, shot, and left for dead in the open sea. Narrowly surviving the purge, Simone realizes survival means answering to no one. Taking in cast-off street youth, she establishes the ""House of Simone,"" storms the underground Ballroom circuit, claims her true identity, and converts a derelict dive bar into a legendary haven. From a discarded outcast to an undisputed nightlife titan, Simone isn't just surviving the streets anymore—she’s building an empire to conquer them.
