The Woman I Dumped Rules Wall Street

Synopsis

After her father's car accident, plus-size socialite Elena is mistakenly informed that the family is bankrupt, and she suffers public humiliation and abandonment at her wedding by her fiancé Derek and her best friend Vanessa. At the brink of despair and suicide, she is saved by Damian, former chief partner of the Wall Street Blackstone Fund. Damian produces a top-secret will—Elena's father left behind a ten-billion-dollar offshore trust, on the condition that she must successfully lose weight and personally smash the scumbag's face in. To reclaim everything, Elena begins a hellish training regimen with Damian's help, not only shedding dozens of pounds but also learning to see through Wall Street's capital games. Transformed inside and out, she returns to high society under the alias of a mysterious top European heiress, "Renata," dangling the bait of a hundred-billion-dollar trust and sky-high profits. The greed-crazed Derek lunges at it like a starved dog—to please "Renata," he doesn't hesitate to embezzle fifty million dollars of company funds, and even brutally dumps his original mistress, Vanessa. When Derek, overjoyed, books out the entire Hilton hotel to propose to "Renata," dreaming of becoming the son-in-law of a hundred-billion-dollar conglomerate, Elena publicly "drops her mask" and reveals her true identity, exposing his embezzlement and affair evidence before the city's media. In the end, Derek loses everything, is ruined and disgraced, and lands in prison; Vanessa, who hit rock bottom, completes her self-redemption with Elena's help; and Elena successfully purges the dissenting shareholders of the Apex Group, invests one billion dollars to build a women's fitness community to save disadvantaged women, and puts on a wedding ring with Damian, standing side by side at the pinnacle of the business world.
