Synopsis
Venessa Thorne, the last pure Void Ancient Dragon descendant, grows up in the Frostlands with her adoptive father Mason, a dragon clan guardian. After eighteen years apart, her wealthy birth family, the Scotts, track her down to arrange a political marriage to Cyrus, the arrogant heir of the nine-tailed fox beastkin clan. Consumed by jealousy, fake heiress Lilian humiliates Venessa at every turn, while Venessa’s brother Jasper and Cyrus alike sneer at her northern upbringing. When Cyrus publicly calls off their engagement at an elite gala, Venessa exposes Mason’s enormous power over the Frostlands. Frightened, Cyrus pleads for forgiveness, but Venessa spurns his insincere remorse. Unaffected by the Scotts’ late attempts to make amends, she departs Aurora City and heads back to the Frostlands to reunite with her true, loving family.
