This Time, I Won't Wait

Synopsis

"On her third wedding anniversary, Elena Grant finds an old phone in her husband Cayden Walker’s safe. The passcode is the birthday of his first love, Selena Moore. Cayden is the sole heir to New York’s old-money Walker family and CEO of Walker Group, an empire spanning real estate, hotels, and investments. Three years ago, he married Elena against his family’s wishes and promised to make their marriage public once he had secured his place in the company. Elena blamed his coldness on the pressure of being heir and treated that choice as proof of his love. She waited three years. Only when Selena returns to New York does Elena finally see the truth: Cayden isn’t incapable of love. He just never loved her that way. Once Selena is back, she gets Cayden’s favor at every turn—and slides straight into the position Elena spent three years fighting for at Walker Group. At the company’s anniversary gala, Cayden once again defends Selena without caring who’s right. Elena’s heart finally dies. She throws wine in his face, leaves behind her resignation letter and divorce agreement, and walks away from New York. Only after Elena truly disappears does Cayden begin to regret it. He chases her to Savannah, desperate to win her back. But Elena has already reclaimed her family, her career, and her own life—and met Noah, a man who respects her choices. Meanwhile, Selena is exposed for falsified credentials and a failed project. She retaliates with online rumors and hired intimidation, until she finally pays the legal price for her actions. Cayden finally learns to respect her and let her go—but it’s far too late. Elena officially ends the marriage. She doesn’t rush into another relationship. She takes back control of her own life. This time, she won’t wait for anyone to turn back."
