Trapped in Deep Affection

Synopsis

Song Yuan is brought to the Jiang family villa by Jiang Xingyun to meet Shen Meiyan (Chairman of Mingda Group and mother of Jiang Zhaoyun). Shen Meiyan offers Song Yuan 5 million to seduce her son, Jiang Zhaoyun, who aspires to be an artist. For her mother's medical bills and the Song family's debts, Song Yuan agrees but demands 10 million. After obtaining Jiang Zhaoyun's information from Shen Meiyan, Song Yuan crafts a perfect 'chance encounter' plan, successfully making Jiang Zhaoyun fall for her at first sight. As their love deepens, Shen Meiyan appears, reminding Song Yuan to end the game. Thinking it's over, Song Yuan is devastated when her mother commits suicide out of guilt. Shen Meiyan, fearing further contact between Song Yuan and Jiang Zhaoyun, suppresses Song Yuan's career opportunities. Despite her prestigious education, Song Yuan can only find work as a lowly assistant in an entertainment company. Meanwhile, she hides from Jiang Zhaoyun for two years, until he finally finds her. Jiang Zhaoyun forcefully marries Song Yuan, but their relationship improves over time. However, Shen Meiyan reveals to Song Yuan that she was behind her father's death and the Song family's house fire, and that Jiang Zhaoyun knew all along. Devastated, Song Yuan confronts Jiang Zhaoyun and asks for a divorce. Jiang Zhaoyun, in turn, decides to seek justice for Song Yuan.
