Synopsis

I was the lowest-born black serpent in the snake clan, yet I was chosen as the bride by the most honored crown prince of the Dragon Court. He gave up the engagement with my sister for me, renounced his position as heir, and left the Dragon Court for me. I was moved beyond words and became his wife. But after I gave birth to only a black serpent, he flew into a rage. He crushed our child under his foot, then ran me through with his sword. As I lay dying, I saw the burning hatred in his eyes. "If I had known you were this useless, I should have married your sister!" Only then did I learn the truth. I was the fated maiden recorded in the forbidden books of the Dragon Court, born with primordial blood. If I bore a child of primordial blood, he would secure the Dragon Throne. When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day of the bride selection. This time, Adrian chose my sister without hesitation—the woman who had given birth to a golden dragon in the previous life. I smiled and instead chose a lowly bug servant. Adrian didn't know that I did indeed carry primordial power. He was born incomplete. Without me, he was destined to have no heirs. This life, I will give birth to the true primordial child. And I will make sure he can never inherit the Dragon Court.
