Synopsis

She was a goth girl who swore she would never be afraid of anything. When vampires dragged her into their lair, everyone else screamed. She didn't. She crossed her arms, rolled her eyes, and told them to get on with it. The vampires tried everything: shadows, fangs, sudden attacks from the dark. She yawned. The clan leader watched from the shadows, fascinated. He had never met a human who looked bored in the face of death. He started visiting her. He brought her food, books, and strange little gifts. She thought it was a game. He kissed her one night in the moonlight, and she kissed him back. Then she found the old photograph in his room. The face in the picture was hers. The boy beside her was him. She had saved him from a fire when they were children. He had been searching for her ever since. He wasn't going to eat her. He was going to keep her. Forever.
