Synopsis

The Harwell Wolves welcome a gifted transfer pitcher, Eli Carraway. What no one knows is that he chose this school for one reason alone: the catcher's roster included the name Noah Reid. Six years earlier, they were the brightest pitcher-catcher duo in the youth league, until Eli was forced to transfer schools by his father, cutting off all contact overnight. Noah believed Eli had abandoned him, while Eli spent those years believing Noah was the one who had forgotten him first. When they reunite, they act like rivals, but every pitch they call and every lingering glance hides feelings neither of them can admit. Eli deliberately throws wild pitches, gets close to Noah's sister, and stirs up conflict—all to make Noah look at him again. Noah keeps his distance with cold words, yet he never fails to catch every out-of-control pitch Eli throws. As the national championship approaches, the two are forced to reunite as the team's permanent pitcher-catcher battery. Old photographs, a worn baseball glove, letters that were never delivered, and six years of hidden training logs slowly uncover the misunderstanding that tore them apart. Only then do they realize the truth: during those six years apart, neither of them ever truly let go of the other.
