West Tower Witch

Synopsis

Born with the Eye of Mortis, Elara, the eldest daughter of an earl, can foresee death. After predicting her grandfather's fatal fall from a horse and her mother's death in childbirth, she is branded a witch who brings misfortune. Imprisoned in the West Tower from the age of seven, she spends fifteen years in isolation. On the eve of her twenty-second birthday, Elara foresees her own death. She calmly arranges her funeral, commissions a memorial portrait, and prepares a family dinner that no one attends. Just as illness and despair push her to the brink of death, her eldest brother Alaric breaks into the tower and changes her fate. As the truth unfolds, family conflicts, the shadow of the religious court, and the secret of a divine gift recorded in her mother's journal gradually come to light.
