Synopsis
The story follows the founder of Xuánmén Lu An'an, who fails her tribulation and reincarnates into the body of a seven-year-old Taoist girl. She leaves the Taoist temple and moves in with her eldest granddaughter, Lu Yueming. When Lu Yueming is not home, she sends her son, Lu Yanzhi, to welcome her. Initially, Lu Yanzhi does not believe that Lu An'an is his great-grandmother, but eventually, he is forced to accept it. Lu An'an predicts that Lu Yanzhi will face a great disaster and gives him a protective jade amulet as a gift to save his life. Although Lu Yanzhi does not believe her, he assumes it is good luck. She later foresees that his wife is in danger and, upon returning to the Lu family, discovers that the housekeeper is conspiring with outsiders. Lu An'an saves Lu Yan's wife and protects the family, earning Lu Yanzhi's trust. From then on, Lu An'an continues to avert dangers and surprises everyone, ultimately saving the Lu family and achieving great merit.
