Synopsis

A crisis erupts when Eleanor is verbally abused in French by her granddaughter and daughter-in-law while her son stands by, indifferent. Deeply disillusioned and refusing to endure any longer, Eleanor leaves home and reasserts her authority as the supreme head of the Bluegrass Alliance. She cuts off funding to her son’s auction house, withdraws sponsorship for her granddaughter’s equestrian career, and reclaims the family estate. Making a stunning appearance as the wealthiest person in the region at a Thoroughbred showcase, she publicly exposes her family's hypocrisy and severs ties with them completely. Her son goes bankrupt, her granddaughter is banned from competition, and the family loses everything; Eleanor’s decisive counterattack forces them to experience life at the very bottom of the social ladder. After enduring this hardship, the family initially rebels against Eleanor, but upon failing, they resign themselves to an ordinary existence; eventually, they undergo a change of heart and earn her forgiveness.
