A Tycoon Pilot Returns for His Mentor

Synopsis

At an elite flight academy, renowned weather scholar Evelyn Carter thinks she is celebrating ten years of marriage. Instead, she discovers her husband, Vice Dean Richard, with a student aboard a plane. His betrayal is calculated. He hands her divorce papers, strips away her security, and leaves her broken in a violent storm. Her rescue comes from an unexpected direction. Adrian, the academy's brilliant twenty two year old pilot trainee, lands a helicopter in impossible weather and offers Evelyn shelter. Though he is supposed to be her student, Adrian refuses to stand by while Richard and his new lover try to ruin her reputation, steal her research, and force her out of the school she helped build. With Adrian at her side, Evelyn begins to recover the courage Richard spent years eroding. But the fearless young pilot is hiding far more than his devotion. He is the secret successor to the Blackwood empire, and his feelings for Evelyn began long before they met again at the academy. As a lonely boy, he was once comforted by her during a rainstorm. He has carried that moment in his heart for a decade. Richard escalates his attacks with forged evidence, cruel rumors, and sabotage aimed at Adrian's aircraft. After a near fatal flight, Adrian returns with proof that could destroy Richard and finally reveals the truth about his name and his love. Yet even the Blackwood heir may not be able to protect Evelyn when Richard makes one last desperate move. As danger closes in, Evelyn must choose whether to remain the woman who endured betrayal or become the woman who takes back her future. Together, she and Adrian turn a stormy rescue into a fierce, long awaited love.
