Synopsis
Four years ago, a mysterious man named Mason Cole was seriously injured and left homeless, where he was rescued by Chloe, the second daughter of the Hayes family. By a twist of fate, everyone believed that his savior was his sister Olivia, leading Mason to marry Olivia and conceal his identity as the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the true controller of S.H.I.E.L.D., quietly supporting the growth and expansion of Hayes Technology. Four years later, Olivia has achieved great success in her career, but she increasingly looks down on Mason, a seemingly ordinary ride-hailing driver. Instigated by her suitor Brandon and her mother Margaret, she publicly humiliates Mason and files for divorce. Mason initially wants to give the marriage one last chance, but after Chloe reveals the truth, he learns that the person who truly saved him four years ago was Chloe. Utterly disappointed, Mason signs the divorce papers, severing ties with Olivia, and decides to compensate Chloe, who has always genuinely protected him. Mason entrusts Chloe with the multi-billion dollar Horizon Group and vast resources, transforming her from a neglected heiress into a rising star in the financial world. At international trade fairs, the Hayes family birthday banquet, and S.H.I.E.L.D. parties, Olivia, Brandon, Margaret, and others repeatedly questioned and humiliated Mason and Chloe, only to be repeatedly refuted by facts such as the billion-dollar check, the S.H.I.E.L.D. badge, the kneeling of S.H.I.E.L.D. executives, and the Hall family's recognition of their allegiance. Meanwhile, Victor Shaw, the acting chairman of S.H.I.E.L.D., secretly seized power during Mason's four-year disappearance, attempting to steal the S.H.I.E.L.D. badge, the symbol of supreme power. Mason returned to the center of power, defeated Victor's forces, and reunified S.H.I.E.L.D. After the turmoil, he prepared to marry Chloe; however, on their wedding day, Chloe suddenly disappeared, leaving only a mysterious "V" mark, and a new crisis descended.
