Behind Closed Eyes, the Heiress Finds an Unexpected Ally
Synopsis
Eleanor Prescott rules a wealthy dynasty, but danger is growing inside her own home. After staging an accident and claiming she has lost her sight, she adopts a scandalous public image meant to draw out the traitor threatening her family. Her ambitious stepmother Serena sees an opening and hires Claire, a debt-burdened nursing graduate, to gain control over Eleanor. Claire expects cruelty when she enters Eleanor's estate, yet the feared heiress proves far more guarded than monstrous. Eleanor offers Claire a different role: trusted attendant by day and secret source inside Serena's circle. As their deception deepens, Claire begins to see the tenderness beneath Eleanor's icy restraint, while Eleanor finds herself fiercely protective of the woman who was supposed to be her pawn. Their fragile romance is shattered when Serena joins forces with Colin, Eleanor's uncle believed long dead. A violent attack forces Eleanor to push Claire away for her safety. Even after Claire builds a new life running a small cafe, neither woman can let go. When Claire is abducted to force Eleanor's surrender, Eleanor walks into the trap alone. With Bella, her loyal guide dog, and Ivy, her covert ally, Eleanor turns the final confrontation against her enemies and reveals the secret behind her supposed blindness. At last, she and Claire choose honesty, love, and a future no one else can control.
