Synopsis

Song Yanxi and Gu Chenyao grew up as childhood sweethearts. As they matured, Gu Chenyao pursued Song Yanxi, and the two naturally became a couple. However, Song Yanxi’s cousin, Song Yiyi, was envious of her cousin marrying into a wealthy family while she had to settle for Lin Jun, a man from a modest background. Resentful of Song Yanxi for looking down on him, Lin Jun teamed up with Song Yiyi to sabotage her wedding. On the day of Song Yanxi and Gu Chenyao's wedding, Song Yiyi conspired with Lin Jun to stage a scheme. They deliberately told Gu Chenyao’s sister, Gu Leyan, that Song Yanxi had an ex-boyfriend and had even aborted a child to marry Gu Chenyao. This deepened Gu Chenyao’s hatred for her. Subjected to Gu Chenyao’s escalating mistreatment, Song Yanxi grew utterly disheartened. Her friend, Li Xiuyun, stood by her side, offering support and care. However, this led to misunderstandings that widened the rift between Song Yanxi and Gu Chenyao. At a critical moment, Gu Leyan miraculously regained consciousness. Fearing Gu Leyan would expose the truth, Song Yiyi once again colluded with Lin Jun to harm her. This time, they were caught in the act by Song Yanxi. A button became the key clue, prompting Song Yanxi to suspect Lin Jun. With Li Xiuyun’s help, she uncovered that the real culprit was Song Yiyi. Gu Chenyao had Song Yiyi imprisoned for her crimes. Realizing he had wronged Song Yanxi, Gu Chenyao deeply regretted his actions and sought reconciliation. However, Song Yanxi, heartbroken and resolute, divorced him and left the country with her younger brother. A few months later, she gave birth to Gu Chenyao’s child. Determined to make amends, Gu Chenyao followed her abroad, beginning a long and arduous journey to win back her heart.
