Synopsis
"Sixty years ago, Seraphina healed a plague with a dragon's tear. The gods cursed her for it — stripped her wings, her claws, her dragon form. She became a mermaid, bound to the river town, trapped by a spell that could only break if humans called her true name. She spent sixty years protecting the town that called her a curse. She repaired their dams, cleansed their water, saved their children. Only old fisherman Elias remembered the truth. Then the hunter came. Aldric was sent to ""help her rise"" — but he saw only a monster to kill. Until he watched her bleed for the same people who threw stones at her. Until he saw what real evil looked like. Black wizard Malachai and greedy Baron Vex tore down the temple. The seal shattered. The dragon beneath the river awoke. To stop it, Seraphina had to complete the ""Rising Tide"" — three trials: lightning, flood, and the hardest of all — she needed humans to call her name with their hearts. But the town was poisoned with fear and lies. She took the lightning. She held back the flood. And when she collapsed on the riverbank, broken and bleeding — Elias knelt. Then another. Then the whole town. They called her name. The curse broke. She rose as a dragon. She tore the dark dragon apart. The river returned. Aldric? He used his own lifeblood to strike down the wizard. And slept for three years after. The temple was rebuilt. The people remembered. And Seraphina flew north — to save the next river, the next town, the next world that needed her."
