Synopsis
David Cooper is a burial tailor who makes clothes for the dead. On the day he is born, nine thunderbolts clear the sky and seven stars accompany his birth. His mortal lifespan gets swapped for a ghostly one, and he survives for twenty-five years only by relying on a patchwork doll made from a hundred different fabrics. But before that, he gives the doll to his first love, Melanie Prescott. Even eerier, Melanie drowns and dies, then comes back to haunt David. To stay alive, David frantically seeks help from a Taoist priest and joins the Sunhaven Sect. He receives the sacred Shadow-Chime Bell and embarks on the path of resolving ghostly wishes and accumulating Golden Merit Beads.
