He Chose Her Baby Shower Over My Delivery Room

Synopsis

At 34 weeks of pregnancy, Nora Bennett suffered premature rupture of membranes. Unable to reach her husband Ethan, she accidentally discovered a livestream showing him throwing an extravagant baby shower with her best friend Vanessa, who was secretly faking her pregnancy. Fighting through contractions, Nora rushed to the scene, only to be knocked to the ground by Ethan’s brother Brett. The incident triggered a medical emergency, leading to Nora’s premature delivery of her daughter Lily. Due to being born early, Lily was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. Determined to protect his online celebrity image and business expansion plans, Ethan abandoned his wife and daughter. He even tried to fabricate a surrogacy agreement and falsely claim that Nora was unfit to care for her child, while continuing to profit from Nora’s signature recipes without compensating her. With nowhere left to turn, Nora finally contacts the father she has been estranged from for ten years and reveals her true identity as the heir to the Ashford family. Backed by her family’s elite legal team and contracts she had prepared years earlier, Nora wins the custody battle and protects her daughter. She also reclaims control of her recipes and revokes Ethan’s licensing rights, sending his restaurant empire into collapse and eventual bankruptcy. In the end, Nora returns to her hometown with Lily and reunites with Julian Reyes, a leukemia survivor she met as a child. Having kept the promise they made long ago, the two finally build the family they once dreamed of. Julian adopts Lily, while Nora opens her own restaurant and begins a new chapter filled with love, independence, and happiness.
