He Left Our Kids to Drown—He Didn't Know

Synopsis

Empress Aurelia of the Empire hides her true identity to marry Tristan, a wealthy businessman. But when she is eight months pregnant, she is cruelly betrayed by her husband. To spend time with his mistress Valerie, Tristan locks their two young sons in a well house during a violent storm, and coldly hangs up on his wife's desperate plea for help. This leads to Aurelia suffering a car crash that causes her to miscarry, and leaves their two children gravely injured and on the brink of death. While Aurelia pushes her dying children through the rain begging for help, Tristan is busy signing a mortgage contract with his new lover. Three hours later, the Empress's personal accounts are unfrozen, and Aurelia makes a triumphant, powerful return. She not only brings about Tristan's instant bankruptcy and leaves him penniless, but also turns the cheating couple against each other in a vicious falling-out. Faced with Tristan's desperate attempts to win her forgiveness—from kneeling before her to throwing himself in front of her car in a classic "groveling" arc—the Empress turns away coldly: "I will never forgive anyone who hurts my children."
