I Hired My Husband's Mistress

Synopsis

On the night of her fifth wedding anniversary, Ellara Vance witnesses her husband Kallan in bed with Anya, an influencer and model. She overhears Kallan plotting to slowly poison her with a neurotoxin, making her appear insane so he can commit her to a Swiss clinic and seize the Vance family fortune. Instead of confronting him, Ellara pretends to comply and begins her secret counterattack. She contacts Lysander Vale, her childhood friend and now a powerful Wall Street attorney, for support. She personally "selects" Anya from a private staffing agency to be her live-in companion — placing her mistress right under her own roof. Ellara maintains a clear-headed public image at a high-society tea party, dismantling Kallan's "mad wife" narrative. Through calculated provocations, she makes Anya realize she is merely Kallan's disposable tool and future scapegoat.Ellara turns Tina, the maid, to her side by paying off her son's gambling debts, securing both the drug samples and Kallan's threatening voice recordings. With Lysander's help, she sets a trap that forces Dr. Yang to falsify a positive blood test — while preserving the true negative results as evidence. At the board meeting, Ellara delivers a convincing "breakdown" performance, leading Kallan to push for her removal. But Lysander and Uncle George intervene. Anya, following Ellara's plan, goes live on social media and exposes all of Kallan's crimes to millions of viewers. In court, Kallan is found guilty of attempted murder, drug-induced coercion, unlawful confinement, commercial fraud, arson, and destruction of evidence. He is sentenced to 25 years in prison. Ellara reclaims everything that is rightfully hers and finally embraces Lysander, who waited for her for twenty years. Anya leaves alone, dragging her worn-out suitcase — her dream of wealth and status shattered.
