I Was Treated Like a Maid At My Daughter's Wedding

Synopsis

At the $214,000 wedding Dana paid for, her daughter Vivienne introduces her as the cleaning lady, seats her in the service hallway beside the dumpster, and has the catering staff plate her food scraped off the guests' returned tables. When Dana overhears her daughter laughing about it in a group chat — "Next time she can eat off the floor" — she stops the check, sells the condo, reclaims the car, and fires her daughter from the company job she had secretly invented for her. But Vivienne fights back online, spinning a viral sob story that turns two hundred strangers against her mother. Dana answers with the security footage, the screenshots, and the courtroom, where the woman they seated by the dumpster proves she owns the company that scrubs their toilets. From disownment to a lawsuit to a fake pregnancy, Dana endures every card her daughter plays — and plays the last one herself: a shelter's phone number, and the quiet, unshakeable refusal to be fooled a second time. Forgiveness? Not a chance in this world.
