THE BLACK SWAN

Synopsis

Wall Street knows Vivian only as a spoiled heiress. No one knows that every trade behind her father's empire was hers — that the legendary trader called the Black Swan is the daughter William Ashworth raised in front of the screens. When William uncovers the syndicate's money chain, twenty minutes of surveillance vanish and he falls from his own rooftop, ruled a suicide. The CEO he made, Victor Vance, takes the company and throws her out. She has waited for this. An anonymous report puts the missing minutes on every front page; twenty quiet accounts swallow the floating shares. Federal prosecutor Alexander Mercer comes to her as an interrogator and stays as her only ally, while Camille, her father's trusted assistant, turns out to be the syndicate's mole. After one night in the interrogation room the frame collapses, and the man behind it surfaces: Oswald Sterling. A USB drive her father hid before he died carries the laundering network and a kill list — and on the morning the stock hits its limit, Vivian walks back into the boardroom in the black suit that gathered dust for years.
