Synopsis

Modern-day chauvinist Gary is slapped by a primitive goddess statue in a museum and transported ten thousand years back to the northern ice plains, landing in the highly developed matriarchal "Wolf Fang Tribe." The female chieftain Brenna intends to kill him, but Gary lights a fire with his lighter, making the tribe mistake him for a "messenger of the fire god." To collect the shattered statue fragments and return to his time, Gary must survive in the tribe. Using modern knowledge, he improves tribal life: salt-curing meat to prevent winter starvation, cooking spicy wild vegetable stew that wins over the female warriors, and teaching the men how to brush teeth and care for their hands, sparking a frenzy of women fighting over them. The high priestess Morrigan sees him as a threat, frames him at the Moon Festival, and throws him into an ice prison. On the night of his sacrifice, Brenna sneaks in with the statue fragments to set him free, but Gary smashes them and chooses to stay. After three days in the ice prison, he draws a map and helps Brenna uncover evidence that Morrigan had been embezzling offerings and betraying the tribe. At the festival, Brenna exposes Morrigan, and the tribe exiles her. In the end, Brenna declares Gary "claimed" by her, and the two spend spring together hunting and raising children—Gary grumbles about his "tigress" but happily follows her anyway.
