Kindergarten in the Cold Palace

Synopsis

The female protagonist unexpectedly transmigrates into the body of a discarded concubine living in the Cold Palace, a place where deposed and marginalized consorts are kept. She believes she can become a seductive empress and charm the emperor, but to her surprise, she never meets him. Unexpectedly, Consort Song, who shares the Cold Palace with her, falls ill and dies. The Empress Dowager issues an imperial decree, sending Consort Song's child, the third prince, to her for care, threatening that if she fails to raise him properly, she will be sentenced to death by white silk. However, the third prince is gravely ill, and all the court physicians have been reassigned by Consort Jiang. With no other option, the female protagonist is forced to perform surgery to treat the prince.
