Synopsis

The protagonist, Sophie Chen, is a 34-year-old coin appraiser at a prestigious Chicago auction house. The precious modern Chinese mechanism coins (including a misprinted coin valued at $3 million) left by her mother were secretly sold by her husband Richard, with whom she had been married for eight years, and the proceeds were used to support his mistress. Using her mother's coins, Sophie established the Women's Heritage Museum—a charitable organization dedicated to preserving women's collections and assisting women who have suffered emotional and financial harm.
