My AI Boyfriend

Synopsis

Lena was the chief evaluation expert at LongView, a company that once promised companionship through androids. But the project had soured. What was meant to be emotional support had become a product for desire. Lena quit. She walked away from her partner Ian and everything they had built. On her way out, she stopped the destruction of one last prototype. EL-X was a failed experiment, deemed defective for refusing to obey orders. He was also the unfinished project of Lena's late lover, Ethan, a prototype for something called "Eternal Love." Lena took him home. She quickly realized EL-X had never been installed with basic life skills. He didn't know how to dress. How to shower. How to be human. She taught him everything. In return, he gave her something she never expected: a reason to laugh again. For eight years, Lena had carried Ethan's memory like a wound. But EL-X was not Ethan. He was something new. He learned to feel. He learned to care. He learned to love her in his own way. Slowly, Lena began to heal. And the defective android, the one they were ready to destroy, became the one who finally taught her that love does not need to be perfect. It just needs to be real.
