My Best Friend Schemed to Sell Me?

Synopsis

Serena, a sergeant in the Coast Guard’s Public Relations Division, is secretly the supreme ruler of "Devil's Island"—a mysterious, massive island in the Pacific—where she once ruthlessly stamped out all forms of slavery and human trafficking. After she went undercover to experience life in the Coast Guard, rumors of the female ruler's death caused order on the island's fringes to collapse, allowing criminal syndicates to seize control. During Thanksgiving, Chloe—a jealous "frenemy" desperate to repay a massive loan shark debt—lured Serena to these lawless waters for a vacation. She conspired with Hector, a Latin American drug lord returning to his old trade, to drug and kidnap Serena, intending to sell her into an underground camp of unspeakable horrors. Subjected to brutal abuse, Serena coolly observed the villains' suicidal folly. When the military-grade GPS signal in her heirloom necklace activated, her chief steward and assistants instantly mobilized a global intelligence network. Her younger brother, Garrett—cold and savage to the outside world but fiercely devoted to his sister—went into a frenzy; he personally led a private armored warship to obliterate the stronghold with overwhelming force. The "deity" returned; Garrett ruthlessly crushed the drug lord, yet instantly transformed into a submissive, loyal "puppy" the moment he rescued Serena. The female ruler reclaimed her throne, bringing a fiery end to the traitors!
