Synopsis

Maeve, a lowly female mechanic, accidentally forges a deadly neural link with Auren, the ultimate war robot, becoming his sole "key to life." Yet every deep calibration accelerates Maeve’s neural degradation. Hunted ruthlessly by the Black Tower Consortium and targeted for forced containment by the Security Agency, Maeve initially tries to flee out of misunderstanding and fear—only to gradually fall for Auren as he shields her from bullets time and again, even kneeling before her in absolute devotion. When the villain Zerel sets a lethal trap that leaves Maeve in a death-like state with amnesia, a reunited Auren, consumed by misunderstanding and remorse, storms the base and self-destructs his own circuits to save his beloved. To grant Maeve true freedom, Auren willingly lets her erase all their shared memories. On a plaza in the wasteland metropolis, the amnesiac pair cross paths—yet driven by bodily instinct, they clasp hands once more, embarking on a brand-new, unshackled destiny.
