Synopsis

Kai Cheng, chairman of Kai Cheng Investment, hides his wealth and plays the role of a useless househusband. His wife, Lina, resents his poverty and begins an affair with their supervisor, Ryan. When Lina travels to New York with Ryan to discuss a $1 billion project, Ryan encourages her to seduce Chairman Kai Cheng at night in order to secure the contract—without knowing that the chairman is actually her own husband, Kai. After discovering the affair, Kai repeatedly gives Lina chances to confess, but she lies and deceives him, determined to seize his shares. Moreover, the design proposal they submit is plagiarized from the graduation project of Kai's college classmate, top lawyer Sophia. Kai turns the situation to his advantage: he signs the contract while secretly gathering evidence of the affair. First, he exposes Ryan during a lavish celebration banquet, ruining his reputation and causing him to be divorced by his wife. Then, at a grand dinner party hosted by Kai himself, he publicly plays Lina’s cheating video in front of all her family and friends, announces their divorce on the spot, leaves her with nothing, and calls the police to arrest both her and Ryan. In the end, Lina and Ryan are sentenced to eight years in prison for business fraud and ordered to pay $800 million in damages. Meanwhile, Kai starts a new life alongside Sophia.
